The new EP from XII Thorns
Duyvelsziele marks a new chapter for XII Thorns: darker, faster, and heavier than ever before. This self-recorded 4-track EP was produced, mixed, and mastered by Vibrant Audioworks, capturing the raw intensity of our evolved sound. Blending aggressive blackened deathcore with both English and Dutch lyrics, Duyvelsziele showcases our growth pushing boundaries in both emotion and execution. The EP also features guest vocal appearances: Sten from Deeproot on the relentless track "Waecke", and Tom from Braces alongside Nawoddya from A Knight Under Maria’s Altar on the punishing track "Den Kelderbode".

XII Thorns is a blackened deathcore band from the southern Netherlands, formed by Erik, Roel, Tomm, Louis, and Davy who previously played in bands like Prospect and ForgettoForgive. Known for blending the brutality of black and death metal with the precision of modern deathcore, the band draws inspiration from paranormal horror and dark storytelling.
Their debut EP WREATH (2023) introduced a chilling, immersive sound, followed by the haunting single De Kelderbode. In October 2024, they released Exsilium, further cementing their place in the underground metal circuit. A new EP is in expected in the fall of 2025.
XII Thorns’ live shows are more than performances they're atmospheric, theatrical experiences that pull audiences into their dark world. XII Thorns is a band that delivers not just music, but a journey into the depths of darkness and sound.
